Even taking Espers out of consideration, the Chainsaw really unbalances the first half of Final Fantasy III. Not to mention that the tilde key has allowed me to over-level about 100% above the norm for this point in the game.
The problem with Square, though, is that a lot of enemy attacks take a percentage of health rather than an absolute value, meaning that the utility of so-many-thousands of HP really diminishes beyond the first segment of levels. So, I’m a champ defending against most physical attacks, but one “Cyclone” or whatever and I’m a foot and a half in the grave. Very frustrating.
However, giving each of my crew the ability to cast Cure and Cure 2 kind of make the healing thing trivial, if I only had a Life 2 Esper at this point in the game.
Whatever. It’s nice to be on a determined track to finish this game once and for all. I really feel like my nerd status is on the line, having never been able to finish FF III. Let alone II, but I don’t know if I could take that ordeal once again. Once I’m on the moon I lose all interest.
I’m pleased to announce that Eric is now blogging on my dime. Welcome to the funny farm, Eric.
The funny thing about MediaWiki is that it is huge, but not as huge as its counterparts that seem smaller when you look at their website (I’m referencing TikiWiki). But then you look at PhpWiki, and it’s just a total piece of poop. So, what do you do?
This was droll reading. There’s something both humorous and sick about applying analysis to emotional situations.
If you can’t sing, a “VH1 Unplugged” concert is not a particularly good idea… Natasha Bedingfield. You know those big grey boxes your producer keeps fooling with when you’re recording? Yeah, those are plugged in. They use electricity to make you marketable! Well, that and makeup.
I just finished up the first Penny Arcade podcast, if you could call it that. This mainly consisted of me tweaking the EQ and volume to adjust for a faint, lower-toned voice in the background and a treble-intensive loud voice in the foreground.
Gosh, I’m bored. I can’t even finish this.
Dear Enix (rest in peace),
Thank you for producing Soulblazer so many years ago.

FNC’s John Gibson (hiss) is now promoting his new radio show.
It feels good to be right sometimes early and often.
I can’t hear the audio for this little gem, but I know it’s funny.
