USC is having a rough game, too.  It’s definitely that time in the season: the top-ranked teams run into very respectable opposition at the point of their greatest weakness.

I now know more about US nuclear anti-proliferation policy regarding Israel in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations than I ever would want to know.

Have you noticed that:

- people use the phrase “zero-sum game” repeatedly and sometimes incorrectly to sound smart?
- the media is still arguing over the election issues?
- there is not a single bit of good music out now?

I’m glad Bin Laden has switched over (at least temporarily) to political commentary instead of bombing babies and mothers.  Maybe we can get him registered as the chairman of a third party here in the US.  He could go on FNC with the nametag title “Terrorist Analyst” and get a split-screen with GOP/Democrat commentators.

Democracy in action!

I would just like to submit praise to both sides regarding their handling of this situation so far.  Bush cannot, by any means, declare full victory yet, and Kerry, as a populist candidate, should not be expected to tell his supporters that there is not a statistically-significant chance that their votes will matter.

But, this better be over soon as we get more information.
