Another Thing Like MySpace
Wouldn’t it be funny if someone made a blog where you had to scroll to the right to read each entry? I mean, it would be funny for the ballpark 5 seconds before you actually started scrolling, but it would be funny up to then.

Ugh
Fox News just referred to a hand grenade as a “Weapon of Mass Destruction.” I hope that’s not a government definition at this point.

Infinite Jest
Even if you were to ever plan to read Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace, a glance at this Wikipedia page really wouldn’t hurt anything. An absolutely crazy book…stranger than anything I’ve ever read.
I’d like to say I kept all the characters straight over the 1000+ pages (980 plus more than a hundred pages of fine-print endnotes), but it was nice to read the article to put together some loose ends.

Early Resolutions
Just a few things I’m resolving to do next year (or earlier, if possible).
- Find or create an acceptable recipe for meatloaf
- Learn to play the acoustic version of “Everlong” from the Foo Fighters’ very odd Skin and Bones live album
- Pretty much ditto for “Best of You”
- Watch The Fountain on DVD more than three times (in addition to any additional theater visits)
- Like, respect, and listen to Black Lab’s Your Body Above Me more fervently, completely, and frequently, respectfully

Yes or No?
I wonder if it would sell if we went to Iraq and told them that voting is a lot like holding a massive protest… except on paper, and with voting it actually makes a difference.
