Excited and Yet
I’m considering wiping joey.home.local and doing a Debian 4.0-stable installation instead of Slackware. Why?
No, I’m asking.
All I know is I’m looking for apt-style maintainability. Plus, I don’t like messing with default Slackware standards, like Sendmail and Apache 1.x. Debian wouldn’t give me these problems.
Debian’s default Postfix build uses a chroot jail, so that would have to go (I’m amazed Debian’s default preference goes so adamantly against the preferences of the software’s principal author).
Anyway, I’m thinking it would be a good little project, especially a VMWare mockup.
